After creating much hype for the season five of Indian Premier League, the opening ceremony came out to be a cold affair. Some said that even the film fair awards were better than this. Though the ceremony was filled with stars like Katy Perry, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and so, the formal seating arrangement stole the charisma from the event. The ceremony failed to live up to the high expectations it had created with its long list of star performers. Is this the start of another lacklustre IPL season????? IPL 4 had a very poor TRP rating of below four, 3.84 to be precise, which was far less than IPL 3 which had the TRP rating of 5.36. Too much of everything is bad and I think same is happening with IPL. And if, this time as well it will fetch below average rating, the future of IPL would be in danger. 54 days of non stop cricket, present pathetic form of Indian cricket team, controversies with IPL, etc. are the few factors which is making this event loosing its charm among the viewers. IPL 5 will decide the fate of this event for the future. So, lets wait and watch another IPL saga.

ReplyDeleteVery true words... Even the actor and actress were performing like Hell. As like they were forced to perform..... You know what I was never in the favor IPLs. It’s just to show off by the celebrities nothing else... Though the performance of the Indian team is declining….. This initiate just because they want to take a fashionable break in their lives from their busy lifestyle… and crazy people just ruining their valuable time to watch all this bullshit…..
